With thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund’s Know Your Neighbourhood scheme, Open Country have been able to start a new satellite project from Wakefield in Barnsley district.
The two-year funding has allowed us to recruit Bob Mawson, our new part-time Barnsley Countryside Activities Officer. Bob has already been out with our Wakefield Outings and Tandems groups and after just one month in the post, he is already making some great contacts in South Yorkshire.
Taster Dates for Barnsley residents include:
Tandem Cycling Taster on Tuesday 15th August (6-9pm)
Weekend Outing to Cusworth Hall and Gardens on Saturday 19th August
Walking Group on Wednesday 6th September
Adventure Group – Watersports at Manvers Lake on Sunday 17th September
Weekend Outing to Ponderosa Farm & Crow Nest Park Gardens on Saturday 30th September
