We were delighted to be invited to write a guest blog for the Sustrans website sharing our thoughts about overcoming the barriers to cycling with a disability. Sustrans joined our Harrogate Tandem Club earlier this year to take pictures on one of our sunny rides down the Nidderdale Greenway, which is part of the National Cycling Network.

Members of our Harrogate, Ripon, Wakefield, Wetherby and York clubs don’t let the physical barriers get in the way of them enjoying the pleasures of riding a bike and our fabulous volunteers help them overcome any fears they may have. A great combination!

Our tandem season has finished for the year, but please do get in touch if you would like to be involved with the tandem clubs next year, either as a volunteer pilot or a disabled stoker. Give us a call in the office on 01423 507227. Happy cycling!
